SMT V Mermaid Looks Like She Did in SMT IV Apocalypse

Atlus shared the next Shin Megami Tensei V video looking at the demons will face, fight, and recruit. This time, it’s another returning character. The Mermaid will be back in SMT V, following her appearance in the Nintendo 3DS game SMT IV Apocalypse. She will look the same as she did in that game.

Here’s the full SMT V Mermaid introduction video. As is common with these clips, it doesn’t just reveal that demon. We get to see Mermaid fight some Agathions too. We also see one of her abilities, an ice attack called Stormcaller Song +3 that also showed up in another new trailer. 

At the end of the SMT V Mermaid video, there is a teaser for the next demon in this series. It is Mandrake, a character that has been a part of the series for years and showed up during the Nintendo Treehouse Live E3 2024 presentation.

As this is an ongoing trend, a number of SMT V demons already got a chance to star in some videos. Here’s the list of trailers Atlus shared so far. Note that there are over 200 demons in this installment.

Shin Megami Tensei V will come to the Nintendo Switch in Japan on November 11, 2024 and worldwide on November 12, 2024. Atlus revealed a Fall of Man Premium Edition for North America.
