If you’ve been wondering how Aliens: Fireteam Elite is shaping up ahead of its release on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 next month, then you might want to check out this new, uncut gameplay footage from Game Informer. The video shows around 15 minutes of bullet-spraying co-op chaos, and it looks pretty fun.
That said, we’re not really sure what’s supposed to set Fireteam Elite apart — aside from the obvious inclusion of xenomorphs. At a glance, the title does look a bit generic, and those customised purple guns certainly aren’t helping. It’s probably safe to say that if you’re looking for an authentic, horror-tinged Aliens experience, this isn’t really it. Especially when you’ve got damage numbers covering the screen!
Still, alongside a couple of friends, we think that Fireteam Elite does have potential. Is this co-op shooter on your radar? Keep an eye on the air vents in the comments section below.
