Artist Reimagines Mario Defeating Bowser Using Japanese Mythology

Features

Mario defeating Bowser is a tale as old as time, as the rivalry has taken place for decades in many different forms. Nothing beats the original way to take down the King Koopa, though, which sees everyone’s favorite plumber jump on an ax to send his enemy plummeting into the lava below.

To commemorate this classic battle, one artist has created some pretty amazing artwork of it, with one big difference. Instead of the usual pixelated version of their battle, Canadian Turt1e posted the following reimagining to the gaming subreddit.

As you can see in the image above, the Mario artist reimagined the epic battle using Japanese mythology. Everything about this piece of art is amazing, depicting Mario as a Samurai, Peach in a Japanese robe/gown, and Bowser as a demon.

A closer look into Canadian Turt1e’s Instagram shows that they’ve been creating these dope reimaginings for a while, which we’ve compiled for you below.

Anyone that is interested in getting one of their own prints of these unique pieces of art can do so by heading over to Canadian Turtle’s InPrnt page. There, you’ll find a variety of pieces of work outside of just Mario, including reimaginings of Spongebob, Joe Rogan, and much more.
