Back 4 Blood Beta Runs at 4K/60 FPS on PS5 and Xbox Series X, as Per Analysis

The beta for Turtle Rock Studios’ Left 4 Dead spiritual successor Back 4 Blood has gone live on all platforms, giving people the chance to jump in and get a taste of what it has on offer in the PvP and PvE departments. New details are, as such, coming to light, and we’ve also gotten a glimpse at what to expect from the game on the technical side of things when it launches later this year.

YouTube channel ElAnalistaDeBits has uploaded a graphics comparison of the game’s beta, and has found that it runs at 4K and 60 FPS on both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. There’s apparently very little to separate the two versions, and while Act 1 runs at a native 4K, it’s likely that in other areas, dynamic resolution is used instead. On Xbox Series S, meanwhile, the resolution drops down to 1296p.

Though there’s virtually very little difference in all versions of the game’s beta, the video states that the PC version does come out on top, thanks to FOV settings, anisotropic filtering, and ambient occlusion. You can watch the full video below.

The beta is currently live for anyone who pre-ordered the game, and will become available to everyone on August 12, running up until August 16.

Back 4 Blood will launch on October 12 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
