Ubisoft announced Beyond Good and Evil 2 all the way back in 2017 to much fanfare, and beyond some updates here and there and a couple of CG trailers, they haven’t really said much about the game in all the time that’s passed since then. Nothing, at least, that gives us any confidence that the game is going to be coming out any time soon (much like another Ubisoft game)- which means, first and foremost, that there’s been next to zero gameplay footage.
But don’t you worry, because… well, because its developers are working on another game as well. Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio leading development on Beyond Good and Evil 2, recently shared an update on LinkedIn, which says they’re looking to recruit people to help them work on the elusive game, in addition to a second game that’s currently unannounced. So yeah, that doesn’t really have any bearing on when Beyond Good and Evil 2 will come out, except that at least we know they’re still working on it.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said late last year that Beyond Good and Evil 2’s development was progressing well, so there’s that, at least. Read more on that through here.
