In this day and age of $70 price points for games, it’s nice to know that Death Stranding Director’s Cut will only cost $50 on PS5. Jay Boor, Kojima Productions’ head of publishing, also confirmed that PS4 owners could upgrade to the Digital Deluxe Edition on PS5 for just $10. Progress can also be transferred from the PS4 to PS5 version so you can pick right up where you left off.

Boor also revealed features like Friend Play and Leaderboards though more details will be provided later. The Half-Life and Cyberpunk 2077 content currently available in the PC version is also included in the Director’s Cut. As for how it leverages the PS5, the DualSense’s haptic feedback and adaptive triggers are supported along with 3D audio. Load times are “near-instant” thanks to the console’s SSD.

There are two graphics modes – upscaled 4K wit up to 60 FPS in Performance Mode or native 4K in Fidelity mode – with Ultrawide displays and HDR also supported. As for the Digital Deluxe Edition, it costs $60 and includes a mini soundtrack, avatar set and backpack patches for use in-game. You also get customization items like the Gold Bridges Special Delivery Team Suit and Power Gloves, Silver Bridges Special Delivery Team Suit and Power Gloves, and Chiral Gold and Omnireflector options for the BB pod.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut releases on September 24th for PS5. For more details on other new content, head here.
