Geoff Keighley will write a new chapter in his love affair for game creator Hideo Kojima later this week as “an extended look at the gameplay of” Death Stranding Director’s Cut is confirmed for Gamescom Opening Night Live. Taking place on Wednesday, the host simply teased the gameplay footage will be lengthy alongside the bold warning: “Don’t miss this moment.” We mean, you probably could miss it because we’ll have a handy round up of every PS5, PS4 announcement at the show available on the site afterwards, but then you shouldn’t doubt Keighley.
So far, we know Death Stranding Director’s Cut will contain some new story missions and a racing mode alongside some clearly Metal Gear Solid inspired elements. Besides that, the PS5 upgrade is a much more reasonable price than Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. So maybe don’t expect new content quite on the same scale as Iki island. Still, we’ll get to see it all in action come Wednesday.
