Digimon Survive Rating Appears in Australia

Digimon Survive has finally been rated by the Australian Classification Board, after years of delays and no news on the game’s development schedule. The board classified the game as PG. The listing doesn’t give any details as to the title’s release date. [Thanks, Kaze_no_Klonoa on Reddit!]

Digimon Survive was originally slated for a 2019 release. It has since been plagued by numerous delays. The tactical RPG’s development schedule has seen troubles due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While details have slowly trickled in about the game’s characters and mechanics, Bandai Namco hasn’t regularly updated fans with information. In July 2024, the company quietly delayed the game for the third time to a 2024 release.

In an interview with Siliconera, producer Habu Kazumasa explained the karma and intimacy mechanics of the game. Furthermore, he also talked about how the game would feature possible character deaths and a darker tone.

Interestingly, the Australian Classification Board rating notes that Digimon Survive will feature “Mild Impact” violence. It recommends people over the age of 15 play this content. While the listing does not guarantee that the game will release sometime soon, it does point to further progress in development.

Bandai Namco lists Digimon Survive for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2024.
