Far Cry 6 post-launch content roadmap includes iconic action heroes

With less than a month to go until the release of Far Cry 6, Ubisoft has revealed a post-launch content roadmap that will have you partnering with some legendary action heroes and venturing into the minds of some of the franchise’s most notorious villains. Some of the content in the plan will be free for all Far Cry 6 players, while some of it will require you to purchase a Season Pass.

If you don’t have it marked in your calendar yet, Far Cry 6 launches on October 7. You can head over to the game’s website to pre-order it. If you decide to go for the Gold or Ultimate Edition, the Season Pass will be included in your purchase. All the post-launch content will also be playable in co-op.

Far Cry 6 free post-launch content

Let’s start with the freebies. All Far Cry 6 owners will have access to three crossover missions . The first will team you up with Danny Trejo. You’ll need to help the machete-wielding legend deliver his tasty tacos to the people of Yara. Next, you’ll go on a rampage with a Rambo superfan. Finally, things get weird in a Far Cry 6 and Stranger Things crossover.

Once you complete the main campaign of Far Cry 6, you will also be able to attempt Weekly Insurgencies for free. Each week, new threats will rise across Yara. You will need to track them down and put them in the ground. In return, you’ll be rewarded with some new gear.

All players will also get access to six Special Operations. These missions will require you to steal unstable chemical bombs and transport them to safe locations. Just make sure they don’t overheat. The Special Operations take place in unique areas around the world. At launch, you will be able to venture to Mesozoico and Maceo. The four additional locations will be released at a later date.

Far Cry 6 Season Pass

If you want access to the three DLC episodes, you need a Season Pass. It’ll cost you $39.99 USD. Each DLC takes you into the past to learn about some of the most iconic Far Cry villains. Episode 1, titled Insanity, will travel back to Far Cry 3 to find out more about Vaas Montenegro. The first episode releases in November 2024.

Episode 2 will then release in January 2024. It is called Control and deals with the history of the Dragon Head of the Triad Empire, Pagan Min. Finally, the third episode will release in March 2024. It goes back to the most recent Far Cry title, Far Cry 5, and will take you into the mind of Joseph Seed.

Season Pass holders will also be gifted a copy of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, as well as the Blood Dragon Set, which has seven items for you to use in Far Cry 6. You’ll get the Blood Dragon outfit, the AJM9 and Kobracon weapons, the Omega Enforcer vehicle, the KillStar weapon charm, the K-9000 Fang for Hire, and the Blood Dragon Chibi for your vehicles.
