Originally released in 1997, the world of Taito, M2, and ININ Games’ G-Darius HD will hit the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch later this year.
Known for its maritime-inspired boss versus player beam-battles and its catchy soundtrack, critics praised the original for being a prime example of bringing a 2D game genre into 3D. This title will allow players to experience the conflicts between Amnelia Kingdom and the Thiima Empire, which takes place before the battle between the people of Darius and Belsar.
This title features branching paths, along with a capture system of enemy spacecrafts. For the purists out there, the game can be played in a low resolution.
