For those that haven’t played the original but are interested in picking up Doki Doki Literature Club Plus for Nintendo Switch, it’s still rather mysterious (which is, indeed, part of the appeal). A visual novel with cute visuals, it’s nevertheless consistently described as a psychological horror game that has a mature rating. To the uninitiated, it seems fascinating.
A freshly released video – above – doesn’t clear that up, but creator Dan Salvata does talk through some of the new content in this ‘Plus’ edition coming to Switch and many other platforms. They outline new side story content, fresh soundtrack additions, upgraded visuals and more for both new and experienced players to discover.
It arrives on 30th June for $14.99USD / €12.49, and eager fans can also try to pick up the rather nice physical edition.
Is this on your Switch wishlist for the end of the month?
