Game developer to use investment to fund studio expansion and further title development
Game developer Gigantic Duck Games announced today that it has raised SEK 10 million ($1.1 million) in funding.
The company said that the investment will go towards furthering game development and supporting its latest title Bombergrounds: Battle Royale.
The funding round was led by Investment AB Chiffonjén with additional funding from 2M Invest.
Last year, Gigantic Duck Games released its free-to-play mulitplayer action game Bombergrounds: Battle Royale in early access for PC and mobile devices.
“The capital we are raising will allow us to accelerate the development of our company in many different ways, but mainly to allocate resources for continued product development and expansion,” said CEO and founder of Gigantic Duck Jimmy Nyström.
“In addition, we bring in a broad group of competent and experienced people in running start-ups to the company and its board.”
