Guard Your Face With A Fire Emblem Chibi Gatekeeper Filter

Nintendo is celebrating Fire Emblem Heroes‘ new Choose Your Legends units with a new AR Instagram filter, featuring the ever-popular Gatekeeper in chibi form. The new filter has two modes for both front-facing and outward-facing cameras. Additionally, a Summoner AR filter is planned for release soon.

The filter is available for free through Nintendo’s official Instagram account. It features a miniature Gatekeeper who periodically salutes, patrols, and blows his horn. If you’re using the front-facing camera, it will automatically detect faces and create a virtual gate in front of it. Alternatively, the outward-facing camera will detect any movements with the Gatekeeper reacting to them.

For those who wish to use the filter, you can access it by going to Nintendo’s Instagram account on any smartphone device. By selecting the sparkle icon tab, you can choose to use the Gatekeeper filter on any video you record. Users will need to update to the latest version of Instagram before using the filter.

Gatekeeper has been a fan-favorite character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. He is so popular that he recently won first place in the Fire Emblem Heroes Choose Your Legends popularity contest, becoming a permanent character in the mobile title.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available now on Android and iOS devices. The Fire Emblem Gatekeeper filter is available via the official Nintendo Instagram account.
