Humble Bundle curates 12 or so games that you can download and keep forever for a monthly subscription. Game keys are handed out for you to redeem through platforms like Steam or Origin. A portion of the profits also goes to a selected charity, meaning you’re also helping out some important non-profits. Recently it unveiled their July Humble Choice package, containing games like Yakuza 3 and Dirt 5.
We saw some pretty good offerings last month with Civilization 6 and Secret Neighbor. Sadly, this month is a bit more disappointing. Many of the games are rather old and outdated, not to mention already available for cheap. If you’re looking to jump into a Humble Bundle subscription, maybe wait a month.
A very vintage selection
The most attractive game for most buyers this month is likely Yakuza 3 Remastered, which is a pretty good game… except you can buy the full Yakuza Remastered Collection for only a little more. The Remastered Collection is currently on sale for around $26 USD, and contains remastered versions of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5. From Humble Bundle’s normal price of $19.99 USD, it’s not much more and you get triple the Yakuza games to play.
Another noteworthy game this month is The Surge 2, a futuristic Souls-like game that’s currently on sale for $11.99 USD. The game makes you fight your way out of the devastating and dangerous world of Jericho, with some pretty hardcore melee combat.
The other games in the July Choice package are Dirt 5, Hammerting, Nimbatus – The Space Drone Constructor, Paradise Killer, Kill It With Fire, Bee Simulator, Elderborn, S.W.I.N.E. HD Remaster, Deadly Days, and Adom (Ancient Domains of Mystery).
You can subscribe to Humble Bundle for $19.99 USD, but it often goes on sale for lower. This month’s charity is Covenant House, dedicated to helping young people experiencing homelessness by providing food and shelter.
You can play The Surge 2 in this month’s Humble Bundle July Choice.
