Knockout City roadmap reveals new map and contracts

Knockout City has seen a lot of success since its launch back in May, and EA is ready to capitalize on its popularity. Knockout City developers Velan Studios prepared a new 2024 roadmap, laying down their plans to keep the game action-packed and sweaty throughout the rest of the year.

For good reason, too. With over five million players during its free trial launch, Knockout City opted to extend its free trial to account for the popularity. With a huge player base this early on in the game’s release, it’s smart that developers are keeping players updated on new content.

Dodgeball Action

According to the post, Season 2 is set to launch July 27 with “9-week seasons.” In Season 2, we can expect to see a ton of major updates, including a new map and ball. Aside from that, we’re also getting new crew contracts, playlists, and some more special events. There’s even a daily login reward system on the way, giving you the chance to win some Style Chips, Holobux, or Energy Drinks.

Unfortunately, the roadmap didn’t provide many details or previews of the new content, so we’ll have to wait for more information on those. The developers will likely reveal new updates during their weekly updates. In the meantime, there’s still plenty of things to grind out while Season 1 is ongoing. The event, Heatwave, is nearly halfway complete, so brawlers still have plenty of time to complete some of its objectives. In Heatwave, players can collect Ice Pops on each map, earning special tickets you can trade-in for cosmetic items.

If you want in on some dodgeball action, you can still play try out the game for free. Knockout City’s free trial lets you play the game until you hit Street Rank level 25, which gives you plenty of time to form an opinion on the game. Otherwise, you can purchase the full game for a reduced price of $14.99 USD until July 8 on Steam or through Origin. Past July 8, it’ll go back to its original price of $19.99 USD.
