Mario Golf: Super Rush is set to release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on June 25. But those interested in picking up a copy don’t have to wait to lock a copy down for themselves: it’s available now to preorder from a number of retailers (see it at Amazon, or Amazon UK).
Like most other first-party Nintendo games, it’s only available in a standard edition, but that’s all you really need if you want to hit the fairway and swing a club in the Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario Golf: Super Rush is the latest installment in the sporty series. This time around you get a shot gauge and a scanner that can help you set up your shots for maximum precision. The game also lets you forego mashing buttons to use your Joy-Con as a motion controller to take shots.
And if standard golf isn’t exciting enough for you, you can play several additional modes to spice things up. One such mode is Speed Golf, which finds you and other inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom all teeing up simultaneously and sprinting through the course to finish as fast as possible.

There’s also a story mode that lets you play through a Mii character’s golf career, bringing them from rookie to seasoned pro. As you complete courses, you’ll level up and get to assign points to various stats like power, speed, stamina, and control.
It looks like a good deal of fun, whether you want to play solo or with up to three other players. You can also play with others online as long as you have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
