Development of Marvel’s Wolverine for the PlayStation 5 is being led by Brian Horton, the creative director of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Despite this, he’s confirmed on Twitter that the title is, as expected, a full-length game and not a spin-off. Moreover, it sounds like it won’t have the light-hearted vibes of the web-slinging releases, instead opting for a “dark tone”.
Details on this game are light, and Sony’s already admitted that it’s in early development. We’re not intimately familiar with Insomniac Games’ structure, but we’d imagine the majority of the Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart teams have moved on to this, with the remainder of the company focusing on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Exciting times for the sleepless studio!
