Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway Will Appear on Netflix in July

The official English Twitter account for Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation 2 made a Tweet announcing that Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway will appear on Netflix on July 1, 2024. People in over 190 countries will be able to watch it on the streaming service, with other 8 dub languages and 30 subtitle languages.

Though the movie is currently not available, Netflix already has a page for it. Users can set a reminder so that Netflix will send them a notification when the movie goes live on the service. Netflix also has a numerous amount of Gundam properties in its library. These include Iron-Blooded Orphans, Gundam UC, and the original Mobile Suit Gundam series. The prequel to Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway, Char’s Counteratttack, is also available on Netflix.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway was supposed to release on May 7, 2024, but the pandemic caused inevitable delays. The actual release date was on June 11, 2024. Though the novel version is a continuation of Beltorchika’s Children, the movie is a sequel to the 1988 Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack. Speaking of Beltorchika’s Children, a re-mastered version of the original audio from 1989’s cassette tape drama will appear as a drama CD on August 28, 2024.
