It has been quite a ride for Mortal Kombat 11. Ever since the game originally released in 2019 on multiple platforms, including the Nintendo Switch, it has received more playable characters and even some story content via DLC. Well, it was only a matter of time, but that long ride is officially over.
Netherrealm Studios has confirmed, via the official Mortal Kombat Twitter account, that “NetherRealm is now focusing on its next project and after more than two years of supporting Mortal Kombat 11, DLC for the game, including characters, has come to an end”. Their official tweet can be seen down below.
