New to Disney Plus in July 2024: Black Widow, Jungle Cruise, and more

Disney Plus launched last year with most of Disney’s back catalog, but the platform hasn’t reached maximum capacity just yet. In addition to original content like the upcoming episodes of Marvel’s Hero Project, there’s a host of movies and shows wrapped up under other streaming services and licenses. Each month, a few new titles will trickle onto Disney Plus.

Summer blockbuster season is back in business, with both Black Widow and Jungle Cruise premiering on Disney Plus with Premier Access. Loki finishes up, and new episodes of The Mysterious Benedict Society and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series drop. Monsters at Work and Turner & Hooch make their debut.

Based on the bestseller by Trenton Lee Stewart which Time Magazine called “one of the best young adult books of all time,” The Mysterious Benedict Society stars Emmy® Award winner Tony Hale in the titular role and features a standout ensemble of young actors.

Monsters At Work Premiere Episode 101 “Welcome to Monsters, Incorporated”

Loki New Episode

From Disney: Marvel Studios’ Loki features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new Disney+ series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs Loki, and Michael Waldron is head writer.

Marvel Studios Legends

From Disney: Marvel Studios Legends serves as an exciting refresher for the various heroes and villains making their way to the highly anticipated streaming shows premiering on Disney+, setting the stage for the upcoming adventures. The episodes will feature Black Widow.

From Disney: In Marvel Studios’ action-packed spy thriller Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. Scarlett Johansson reprises her role as Natasha/Black Widow, Florence Pugh stars as Yelena, David Harbour portrays Alexei/The Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz is Melina. Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Black Widow—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe— will launch simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premier Access in most Disney+ markets on July 9, 2024 (additional fee required).
