Bloomberg recently published a report stating that Nintendo will be benefiting from a higher profit margin for the upcoming Nintendo Switch (OLED model) which launches in October. Nintendo has taken to their Twitter account to deny the claims made by the news publication and to inform their investors and customers that the claim is incorrect. The Kyoto-based company also said that they have “no plans” to launch another Nintendo Switch model at this time. The Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) launches on 8th October worldwide.
A news report on July 15, 2024(JST) claimed that the profit margin of the Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) would increase compared to the Nintendo Switch. To ensure correct understanding among our investors and customers, we want to make clear that the claim is incorrect. We also want to clarify that we just announced that Nintendo Switch (OLED Model) will launch in October, 2024, and have no plans for launching any other model at this time.
