Shardpunk: Verminfall Demo Now Available

Turn-based tactical fans can sink their teeth into today’s demo for Clockwork Pile and Retrovibe’s Shardpunk: Verminfall.

Set in a steampunk world, this tactical squad-based survival strategy game tasks players with planning fights, resting at camps, juggling resources, and seeking out the safety of bunkers. Throughout it all, players are constantly on the run from swarms of heavily armed – and vicious – mutated rats in what is being called The Rat Swarm. After laying siege to The Empire’s Capital, a number of city-dwellers are depending on you for survival.

All the guns in Shardpunk: Verminfall are energy-based, with a cooldown system in place for when things get a little too heated. Players will also be tasked with figuring out exactly how they’ll deploy their fusion cores, along with a high amount of flexibility when putting together your crew of survivors.

The final release will come out in 2024.
