Atlus has released its daily demon digest video for Shin Megami Tensei V, and today’s teaser focuses on Jikokuten. Jikokuten is a series staple that hails from Buddhist and Hindu mythology. He bears many impressive titles, such as Protector of the World and Keeper of the Kingdom. In Shin Megami Tensei V, he appears as a member of the Kishin race.
In the video, Jikokuten challenges the Nahobino as he walks on the world map. He also activates Donam of Strength in order to increase his physical power on the next turn. He then uses Deathbound to attack a crowd of Loup-Garou demons. In other SMT games, he mostly deals physical damage, with multiple buff and debuff skills to support this. At the end of the video, he uses Mabufula, proving that he is more than just a hack-and-slash machine. At the end of video, Atlus teases the very familiar silhouette of Nekomata.
Jikokuten marks the 88th daily demon digest video Atlus has put out for Shin Megami Tensei V. Other demons that they previously showcased include:
- Gabriel
- Berith
- Anubis
- Fortuna
- Flaemis
- Apsaras
