The Last of Us TV Show Now Has Its Bill, Frank, and More

The Last of Us Remastered

The Last of Us is being adapted into a television series, thanks to a partnership between PlayStation Productions and HBO. With filming having just started this month, it’s still a ways off, but with the talent attached to the project, it should be pretty good once it finally arrives.

We know who will be playing most of the main characters by now: The Mandalorian‘s Pedro Pascal plays Joel, Bella Ramsey will be Ellie, and the role of Marlene is being reprised by Merle Dandridge. Some of the supporting cast have also been, er, cast too, and today, we’ve learned of three more actors joining the ensemble (thanks, Deadline).

Jeffrey Pierce, who voiced Tommy in the game, makes a return, but not as Joel’s brother; he’ll instead be playing someone named Perry. Then there’s Con O’Neill who will take on the role of Bill, a man who has fortified an entire town in which he lives alone. Lastly, Murray Bartlett has been cast as Frank, Bill’s partner. Of course, in the game, we don’t get to meet this character, so it appears this will be one branch off the main story that’ll be explored in more detail during the series. We’re intrigued to learn more about Perry, who appears to be an all-new character for the show.

What do you think of these new additions to the lineup? Are you looking forward to The Last of Us HBO series? Watch out for tripwires in the comments section below.
