If you’re into the latest social media trends you might have heard about a small platform called TikTok. Jokes aside, The Pokémon Company has now opened an official account – specifically in Japan.
The plan is to “deliver an even closer” pocket monster experience to fans. To start the channel, videos of Pikachu dancing have been uploaded. You can also see the special banner (below).
The catch, once again, is that it appears to be region-locked – so unless you’re located in Japan, or resort to certain other methods, you likely won’t be able to see videos from this account.
Pokémon TikTok will join various other official social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
In somewhat related news, next week The Pokémon Company will air a special Nintendo Direct-style Pokémon Presents on 18th August. It will feature news about Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
