Vanguard Multiplayer Trailer Features the Activision Logo Once Again

Call of Duty Vanguard_04

Activision has been under major fire over the last month and a half, having been sued by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DEFH) following a two-year investigation based on allegations of widespread harassment and discrimination against employees. Of course, not that long ago, the company formally unveiled Call of Duty: Vanguard as well, but curiously enough, the company’s name and logo were nowhere to be seen in its reveal trailer.

The timing was curious, of course, and though Activision said that the decision to not mention the company’s name in the game’s reveal was a “creative” one, many felt that it had been done in an attempt to distance the Call of Duty brand from the controversy so as not to affect its sales. Now, however, it seems Activision has reconsidered that “creative” decision.

Call of Duty: Vanguard’s multiplayer was recently unveiled with a new trailer, with plenty of other new details on its maps, operators, and Warzone coming in as well. Interestingly enough, however, unlike the previous trailer, Activision’s logo can be spotted in this trailer once again, on the title card towards the end that also bears the logos of the studios that have worked on the game. You can view the trailer below.

There has been no word from Activision yet about why their decision to not include their logo in Call of Duty trailers was reversed.

Call of Duty: Vanguard launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 4. A bunch of multiplayer beta gameplay footage was recently leaked, which you can check out through here.
