Warhammer Plus, a Warhammer subscription service, launches on Aug. 25 and will include a lot more than just new animated series. Subscribers will earn a unique, free miniature by the end of their first year, plus access to back issues of White Dwarf magazine and access to army building apps for 40K and Age of Sigmar, Games Workshop announced Wednesday during a Twitch livestream.
Members of the Warhammer community team revealed new details about the service, which will be available for $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year. There will also be hobby shows, including advanced painting tutorials and elaborate battle reports shot in a newly renovated studio. Within the first year, fans will also get access to the entire run of the 2024 White Dwarf magazine, with additional historical back issues on the way.
After 12 months of subscribing, users will get their choice of a free miniature — either a growling armored Fantasy orc or a Vindicare Assassin sniper, perched perilously in the shattered wreckage of an Imperial Saint’s statue. They look like a real treat for collectors, who will be able to buy the model that they don’t receive for free if they so choose. They’re also able to be used in competitive play, if you prefer to show off at the table.

Warhammer Plus will launch with episodes of Angels of Death (from the same team behind the popular Helsreach YouTube series) and anthology series Hammer and Bolter. More animated series, as well as documentary-style programs highlighting Warhammer lore, are also on the way.
The service also includes access to the Warhammer 40K app for mobile devices, as well as a similar app currently in development for the third edition of Age of Sigmar. Users who have a current subscription to the 40K app will have the opportunity to roll that over into a subscription to Warhammer Plus — and they’ll receive their free miniature up to three months early as a thank you.
