We often cover figures here, but have you always wondered about the process of making them?

YouTube user Paolo fromTOKYO published a video from his “Day in the life” series that is certainly quite interesting for those who love Good Smile Company’s popular Nendoroid action figures.

The video features a day in the life of 24-years-old Sho, who works at Good Smile Company as a figure sculptor.

We get to take a look at some of the stages of the creation of the prototype of an original Nendoroid from the sculpting to the checks with the CEO, on top of a few elements of trivia about Good Smile Company itself.

This include the famous Hatsune Miku-themed Super GT racing cars tucked away into the basement of the company’s headquarters in Akihabara.

Incidentally, if you like the video, you can also watch another from the same series, featuring a game developer working at Bandai Namco.

This certainly brings back memories. If you’d like to learn more, you can check out our interview with Good Smile Company Planning Department Manager “Kyojin” about the creation of another Nendoroid, Ann Takamaki from Persona 5.
