Wrath of the Righteous — How to romance companions

Everyone in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous looks up to you as the commander, the leader of the crusaders against the advancing demonic tide. But, perhaps it’s possible to take relationships to the next level. Here’s our Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous guide to help you romance certain companions such as Arueshalae, Camellia, Wenduag, and Lann, as well as Queen Galfrey herself.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous – Companions guide — How to romance your companions and Queen Galfrey

Romancing a companion in Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous is fairly straightforward. The gist is that you simply have to be nice and flirty. However, you also have to consider a couple of things.

First, it’s that not all companions can be romanced, and there are some gender requirements, too:

• Camellia – Male characters only.
• Lann – Female characters only.
• Wenduag – Male and female.
• Daeran – Male and female.
• Sosiel – Male characters only.
• Arueshalae – Male and female.

The second factor is that you need to pay attention to dialogue options that can be triggered. Sometimes, it could be a random event when you return to your camp or base of operations. In other cases, it could occur during that companion’s personal quest. Speaking of which, you might want to advance your companion’s personal quest further so that new options can open up down the line.

For example, the first time you can flirt with Arueshalae is the moment you rescue her in Drezen’s prison. Additional opportunities will occur later.

As for Daeran, he’s always playful when talking to you. In my case, I completed his companion quest called “While the World Burns,” choosing to be okay with his advances without shutting him down completely. Then, during the third act, he approached my character to give flowers (which I also accepted).

Then, it came to a point when he ask the commander to go on something that’s “not a date.” You then have the option to kiss him. Conversely, you can stop the romance right there before things get too frisky.

What about romancing Queen Galfrey?

Yes, it’s actually possible to romance the queen herself as either a male or female character. To be clear, you’ll have moments when you can address her in a sweet or playful way. For example, at the beginning of the third act, she hands you a ring. You can joke around asking if you’re betrothed now.

Still, I’m not sure if you need to have her join the crusader army early in Act II to improve your relationship. Just remember that if you get her to join, it’ll lock you out from the Swarm-That-Walks Mythic Path.
