You Can Now Save $10 on Horizon Forbidden West PS5 Preorders

To recap the recent gamer drama, it was recently announced that Horizon Forbidden West would not be getting an upgrade path from PS4 to PS5, free or paid. There was some social media uproar, and Sony has responded by providing a free PS5 upgrade for those who buy the game on PS4.

Outstanding news, if I might say so myself, and it gets even better. If you preorder Horizon Forbidden West for PS4, that’s $60, and $10 saving compared to PS5 preorders, and you still get both copies of the game (see it at Amazon).

Save $10 on Horizon Forbidden West Preorders with This Trick

The only difference you’ll find if you preorder the game physically is the blue PS4 cover sleeve, instead of the clean white PS5 cover. Before you preorder, better also check out what comes in each Horizon Forbidden West Edition.

It’s not all good news, however, as this trick will only be available for Horizon Forbidden West. Sony has confirmed that all future PS4-PS5 game launches will include a $10 upgrade path for those looking to move between generations of console. So, better take advantage of the discount offer this time around.

With the Forbidden West now delayed to February 2024, it seems likely we’ll be seeing more of Aloy’s next adventure during the PlayStation Showcase 2024, which will arrive on September 9.
