Bloodsport is coming to Fortnite. The Suicide Squad sharpshooter’s appearance in the game was announced on Wednesday by Bloodsport himself, actor Idris Elba. The Suicide Squad director James Gunn originally tweeted a video about the crossover.
In the video, we get a brief glimpse of Bloodsport wreaking havoc on the Fortnite island, taking ziplines, and firing off rocket launchers — which certainly seems to fit his vibe from the trailers. According to Elba, Bloodsport is coming to the island soon; the video ends with a tease saying that we’ll get more information about The Suicide Squad’s tie-in with Fortnite sometime on Thursday.
This isn’t the first time that DC Comics heroes have made their way to the island. Batman and his rogues’ gallery have shown up in the past, along with a few other DC heroes and villains. Hopefully this new Suicide Squad event will include a few more of the upcoming movie’s characters as well.
This story will be updated when Epic and Warner Bros. reveal more about the collaboration on Thursday. The Suicide Squad will be released in theaters and on HBO Max on Aug. 6.
