Diablo 2: Resurrected is getting a beta before it launches next month. Blizzard Entertainment confirmed two test weekends, the first starting on August 13th at 10 AM PDT till August 17th for those who pre-purchased the title. Along with the Sorceress, Barbarian and Amazon from the alpha test, players can try out the Druid and Paladin along with the campaign’s first two Acts and their fully remade cinematics.
On August 20th till the 23rd, players on all platforms (except Nintendo Switch) will receive access to the open beta. Multiplayer will be enabled on both weekends along with cross-progression for PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One. Along with having up to eight players together in a single game, there will be the option to duel against teammates.
Those with early access can pre-load the beta on August 11th while the open beta can be pre-loaded on August 17th for console players and August 18th for PC players. Diablo 2: Resurrected is slated to release on September 23rd. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
