Perhaps surprising no one given Call of Duty‘s rampant success in both the traditional AAA and mobile spaces, Activision is developing a new mobile Call of Duty mobile title in-house at the publisher’s new Activision Mobile studio. The news comes via the company’s careers website, and was originally spotted by VGChronicle.
According to the company, “Our first project is a new AAA mobile title in the Call of Duty franchise and we’re looking for great talent from mobile, console and PC backgrounds passionate about their work, who share our belief in what AAA experiences on mobile can and should be. We’re incredibly excited to build out our teams and get to work, and invite you to join us in making something special.”
The news isn’t surprising, but Activision Mobile hasn’t officially been announced yet, nor has the game they’re working on. As for what their Call of Duty game will look like, we’ll just have to wait and see. As they are for all other Call of Duty titles, however, Activision’s expectations are probably very high.
