Destiny 2 Seasonal Challenges Week 2 (Season of the Splicer)

Destiny 2: Season of the Splicer’s Week 1 Seasonal Challenges arrived on May 11, and in this guide we’ll show you how to complete them all.

Some Season 14 weekly Challenges are more involved than the others. Check out the descriptions below for advice on the fastest way to complete these Seasonal Challenges — particularly Crack and Decrypt 1, Challenger’s Cipher, Iron Sharpens Iron in Season 14 — before they expire on Aug. 24.

Safe Harbor

Challenge: Speak to the Splicer Servitor and complete Path of the Splicer 2, and defeat Champions anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Champions defeated in Override.

All you need to do for this Challenge is play Override on the Moon and follow the quest steps. If you’re done with Override for the week, you can still beat this Challenge through Strikes and other Champion activities.

Theseus Protocol

Challenge: Defeat the Minotaur boss in Override, and defeat powerful Vex anywhere in the system. Bonus progress for Vex defeated in override of Expunge.

If you miss this Challenge this week, you may be time gated. The Minotaur boss shows up at the end of the Moon Override mission, which seems to shift each week. Make sure you get this one done when the Moon is available or you may need to wait.

Crack and Decrypt 1

Challenge: Unlock Conflux Chests by completing Override missions. Decrypt Season of the Splicer Engrams at the Prismatic Recaster. 15 Conflux Chests and 15 Engrams.

To unlock the Conflux Chests, you’ll need to spend Key Codes at the end of Override. Just gather the Ether you need beforehand and make a key in the gauntlet. The 15 Engrams you need to focus have to be Season of the Splicer engrams, which you can spend Decrypted Data on in the HELM.

Auto Rifle Splicer

Challenge: In Override, defeat combatants with Auto Rifles. Earn bonus progress by rapidly defeating them.

This quest is about as straight forward as it can be. Just use an auto rifle in Override until you finish the Challenge.

Light Moon Rising

Challenge: On the Moon, earn progress by completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors. 10 bounties.

Land on the Moon and grab as many bounties as you can hold. Just complete activities around the Moon until you finish the Challenge. You may need to jump back to Eris for more repeatable bounties or wait until her daily bounties return the next day.

Challenger’s Cipher

Challenge: Decrypt Prime Engrams. Five total.

This Challenge is luck based. Periodically you’ll get some Prime Engrams that drop on the ground. Once you decrypt five of them at Rahool, you’ll finish this Challenge.

Mid-Range Calibration

Challenge: Calibrate mid-range — hand cannons, auto rifles, fusion rifles, machine guns — on the Moon. Bonus progress for rapidly defeating targets.

While you’re playing Override this week, consider using the weapons listed above.

Dredgin’ Up Victory

Challenge: Complete Gambit matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.

All you need to do here is play Gambit. If you play well, you’ll complete this Challenge even faster.

Iron Sharpens Iron

Challenge: Complete Iron banner matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.

All you need to do to complete this challenge is play Iron Banner. The catch here is that Iron Banner is only available three or four weeks a season. You’ll need to make sure you’re playing Iron Banner when it’s available if you want this Challenge.

Anti-Cabal Sweep

Challenge: Defeat Cabal combatants in Strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.

You can find Cabal in all sorts of Strikes, like Inverted Spire, Arms Dealer, and more. Just run the Strike playlist and you’ll complete this Challenge. If you want to complete the Challenge faster, wait until the Nightfall features Cabal and crank up the difficulty.

Make sure to finish all of these and the rest of the Seasonal Challenges if you want to complete the Master of All Challenge by Aug. 24, which rewards a Large Bright Dust Pile.
