Last December the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium was announced to be coming to the Nintendo Switch and was penciled in for this summer. Today, Disco Elysium The Final Cut was finally rated by PEGI for the Nintendo Switch system and was handed an 18 rating. Hopefully, as the game has now been rated by the European ratings board, the actual release is nearing. Here’s why the ratings board slapped the game with a 18 rating.
“This game has received a PEGI 18 which restricts availability to ADULTS ONLY and is not suitable for anyone below this age. This rating has been given because it features violence against vulnerable and defenceless characters, glamorisation of the use of illegal drugs, encouragement of the use of controlled substances, and use of strong language. Not suitable for persons under 18 years of age.”
