Esports training academy aims to “provide an end-to-end solution” for professional players
Esports company Edge Gaming announced that it has raised $2 million in a pre-seed funding report as reported by EuropeanGaming.eu.
The Tel Aviv-based company said that the investment will be used to create a training academy for esports teams and players.
The funding round was led by Stardom Ventures and AnD Ventures.
Edge Gaming was founded by CEO Asaf Gazit and chief operating officer Omri Gazit earlier this year and the brothers said that the business has been informed by their experiences in the Israeli special forces.
“In our military service, we prepared soldiers for some of the most complicated situations a person can endure,” said Asaf.
“We found that despite the obvious differences, training scenarios for soldiers and for professional esports players are actually quite comparable.”
The platform aims to “provide an end-to-end solution to elite esports gamers, clubs, esports clubs and aspiring professionals.”
