First Two Episodes of Scarlet Nexus Anime To Debut Early On Livestream

Animation studio Sunrise has released a new trailer for the upcoming Scarlet Nexus anime and announced it will livestream the first two episodes on June 25, 2024, to celebrate the launch of the game. The trailer features The Oral Cigarette‘s song “Red Criminal” and gives viewers a glimpse into the main characters’ personalities and backgrounds. Three new characters and their voice actors were revealed as well. [Thanks, Natalie!]

The first and second episodes of the anime will live stream on Sunrise’s YouTube, Twitter, and Nico Nico Video accounts. The stream airs on June 25, 2024, at 8 pm JST, ahead of its official broadcast on July 1, 2024. Guest starring on the stream will be the voice actors behind Yuito Sumeragi and Luka Travers. Sunrise also plans to reveal the anime’s never-before-seen opening as well as new information about the Scarlet Nexus video game.

Three new cast members will be joining the anime and voice various characters in the Struggle Arms System. They are Kazunobu Chiba (Jin Kazama from Tekken), Nobuyuki Himaya (Link in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time), and Hiroki Takahashi who currently voices Ryu in Street Fighter. Himaya will voice the strong and charismatic regiment commander Karen Travers. Chiba will voice regiment commander Fubuki Spring, who reportedly has a “long history” with Karen. Takahashi will voice Seto Narukami, the main character Yuito Sumeragi’s platoon commander.

The Scarlet Nexus anime adaptation will broadcast its first episode officially on July 1, 2024. The Scarlet Nexus video game will release on June 25, 2024, for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
