Hinokami Kepputan Has a Butterfly Mansion Minigame

Aniplex revealed some information in regards to a Butterfly Mansion minigame for the upcoming Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan game. As the Adventure Mode faithfully follows the source material, those who are familiar with the series may already have context just from hearing the locale. The Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan minigame will focus on Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu’s time recovering and undergoing rehab after the Natagumo Mountain arc. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

This information is from the Shonen Jump issue that came out on September 6, 2024 in Japan. After just barely defeating the spider demons living on Natagumo Mountain, Tanjiro and his friends are sent to rest up in Shinobu’s Butterfly Mansion. During their stay, they undergo physical rehabilitation, as well as train up their Total Concentration Breathing techniques.

The minigame will draw inspiration from this part of the series, meaning that players will most likely have to face off against Kanao. In the source material, Kanao tests everyone’s reaction times to see who can pour medicinal tea on the other faster, while simultaneously stopping their opponent from grabbing a cup first.

The Butterfly Mansion is not the only location that players can explore in Adventure Mode. During State of Play July 2024, a trailer showed off the Tsuzumi Mansion. Another trailer shows off Asakusa, which is where Tanjiro and Nezuko meet Muzan in person for the first time.

Demon Slayer: Hinokami Kepputan will come out on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC in 2024 in Japan, and on October 15, 2024 worldwide.
