During Capcom’s E3 2024 showcase, the developer announced the first collab event date and a Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin demo.

Monster Hunter Rise First Collab Event Date Announced; Monster Hunter Stories 2 Demo

The first Monster Hunter Rise collab event will be taking place on June 18th. Previously Capcom released a roadmap for 2024 featuring upcoming collab events and future updates, now revealing the release date for the first one which is a crossover event with Monster Hunter Stories 2. Players will be able gain Palico Layered Armor in the form of a Tsukino Costume, the Palico from Monster Hunter Stories 2 by completing the event quest.

The next title update for Monster Hunter Rise will arrive on Thursday 24th June, adding five new Event Quests: Almudron: Fashion Victim, Fooled in the Flooded Forest, Rampage: Muddi Gras, Heart of a Hero, and An Icy Blade So Bright. This will also bring with it a number of quest rewards.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin Demo

Capcom also announced a demo for upcoming turn-based RPG Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin which will be available on June 25th, ahead of its launch on Switch and PC on July 9th. Progress will be carried from the demo version to the launch version, so you can start off your Stories 2 adventure and continue when the title releases where you left off.

The developer also shared they will continue to support Monster Hunter Stories 2 after launch with free title updates, the first will be the Monster Hunter Rise Palamute that joins as a rideable Monstie on July 9th.

Monster Hunter Rise first collab release on June 18th, with update 3.1 arriving on June 24th. Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be launching on Switch and PC on July 9th.
