It looks like the upcoming platform fighter, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is coming to PC after all. Statements collected by a developer from the Ludosity team mentioned that the PC version is the lead version. It’s unclear why the PC version was omitted from the initial announcement, but either way, PC players can expect to get their hands on this new Smash-esque fighter.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is an upcoming fighting game featuring a diverse cast from different Nickelodeon TV shows. We already know beloved characters like Spongebob and Patrick are in the game. Fortunately, we also got some niche characters like Invader Zim and Powdered Toast Man. The game will feature 20 different stages based on the Nickelodeon universe, as well as local and online multiplayer.
The inner machinations of this game are an enigma
There are other leaks surrounding the game that’s definitely exciting for the fighting game community. The developers previously made the game Slap City, which had a fair amount of depth for an indie-fighting game. It looks like a fair amount of effort is being made to turn this game competitive as well.
The game will reportedly have rollback netcode “on supported platforms,” which is a popular form of netcode that eliminates a lot of connection issues in online games. Additionally, the game will reportedly feature “wavedashing,” a high-level mechanic utilized by many Super Smash Bros. Melee players.
Unfinished boxart was also released for the game as well, “confirming” several characters not in the initial trailer. Characters like Korra, Catdog, and Ren & Stimpy have already been spotted in the outlines, but you can be the judge for yourself.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl still has its release window of Fall 2024 for other platforms, but the PC release date remains unannounced. As the PC version didn’t show up in the initial trailer, it’s possible PC players will get the game at a different date. If you haven’t checked out the gameplay trailer yet, you can give it a watch below.
