Rockstar and Nvidia have been hyping up the addition of DLSS support in Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC version for a while now, and the update that makes that possible is now finally live. Both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online now support DLSS on compatible graphics cards, which allegedly enables 45% faster performance.

The launch trailer for the game’s DLSS update, uploaded by Nvidia, shows some of this in action, showing side-by-side comparisons of the game running with and without DLSS. With DLSS on, at 4K resolution, Red Dead Redemption 2 now seems to be capable of running between 70 to over 100 frames per second, as opposed to earlier, where the range was generally 60-70 FPS. Given how gorgeous the game already looks, this is sure to be a fan-please improvement. Check it out in action below.

Meanwhile, the game’s newest update has also added plenty of new content to Red Dead Online. Read more on that through here.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia.
