Prominent video game leaker Zippo has stated that Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which was released in 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, is currently being remastered for modern platform by development studio, Atlus. SEGA has previously said that they are looking at Atlus’s extensive back-catalogue and bringing more of their older classic titles to current systems. Zippo says that this is just one of the games which will be announced for the Persona series 25th anniversary in September. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will apparently be released next year as a remaster.
With Atlus’ recent announcement that Persona is getting some soft of shendig for it’s 25th anniversary in September, people are obviously wondering what the announcements will actually be. I can tell you one, today. Arc System Works’ Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is getting a remaster, and is coming to modern platforms. I haven’t been told whether or not it will feature new content, but I would personally be very surprised if it doesn’t. A release is expected next year.
