Scarlet Nexus Tech Analysis: PS5 vs Xbox Series X Comparison - Frame Rate Test



Bandai Namco’s action role playing game, Scarlet Nexus is almost here. The game will soon be available on PS4, Xbox One, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC. In this video we stack up the PS5 version against the Xbox Series X build and see how things pan out. As usual, a quick disclaimer before we move forward, note that we analysed the performance by taking some sample scenes from the game and running it through trdrop, an open source software. This tool gives us a mere demonstration of the game’s performance, because an exact 1:1 representation of performance can only be provided by the developers themselves since they have access to a vast array of tools and profilers.

Scarlet Nexus runs almost identical on both platforms. There is next to little to choose here, both versions run at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Performance for the most part is very solid with little drops here and there. This is one of those rare games where parity has been maintained between two versions. We would have loved to see additional graphical options or even a 120fps mode, but sadly, there is no such offering here.
