Bethesda Games Studios are re-releasing The Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim with a 10th anniversary edition which releases this November.

Bethesda announced at Quakecon that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will be releasing on November 11th, for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.

The anniversary edition will include 10 years’ worth of content plus some new features. One new addition is a free fishing mechanic. If you already own the Skyrim Special Edition there is an upgrade to the Anniversary Edition but won’t be free. Those who plan to play Skyrim on next-gen consoles will get a free next-gen upgrade.

Bethesda has announced on the official website that “current and future owners of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition on any platform including Xbox Game Pass Subscribers will receive access to three free pieces of Creation Club content: Fishing, Survival Mode and even new quests with Saints and Seducers”. They also clarify that those who own the Skyrim Special Edition on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, as well as Xbox Game Pass subscribers on Xbox Series X|S will receive a free upgrade to an enhanced version on November 11th.

There seemed to be a little confusion with details as reports were saying there may be a free upgrade from the Skyrim Special Edition to the Skyrim Anniversary Edition but Bethesda has confirmed that the upgrade will not be free for existing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition and Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Bethesda also announced during Quakecon that more than 30 Bethesda titles are now available on Xbox Game Pass which includes The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition among a slew of Bethesda titles.

The Anniversary Edition will include all three expansions, Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn. As well as over 500 unique pieces of Creation Club Content including quests, dungeons, bosses, weapons, spells and more.
