If you’ve been wondering how Sonic Colors: Ultimate holds up on Switch from a gameplay perspective, we’ve got you covered. We have an early look at the title and recorded a bunch of footage from the final product.
SEGA has put out plenty of trailers and screenshots from Sonic Colors: Ultimate, but we haven’t really had a chance to see the Switch version in action. This is still ultimately a Wii game, though the Switch version has been locked to 30 frames per second rather than 60 FPS on other platforms. If you’re curious to see how Sonic Colors: Ultimate looks on Nintendo’s console, check out the gameplay below – we have about 15 minutes of footage.
We’re currently working our way through the Switch version of Sonic Colors: Ultimate and are progressing towards a review. It should be going up around launch day.
Sonic Colors first hit Wii in 2010. It features the new Rival Rush mode in which players go head-to-head against Metal Sonic to unlock rewards, Jade Wisp power, enhanced visuals and graphics, refined controls, Tails Save system, remixed soundtrack, customization features for Sonic, and more.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate releases for Switch on September 7. You can keep track of the official website here.
