And this, readers, is the problem with licensed content. Stranger Things’ jumbo DLC pack for Dead by Daylight – which includes the Demogorgon alongside key characters Nancy Wheeler and Steve Harrington – is leaving the game on 17th November. That’s a little over two years since it was added, so presumably that was roughly the duration of Behaviour Interactive’s contract.
If you already own the content, then you’ll be able to continue playing it, but it’ll be dumped from the in-game store and other vendors like the PS Store – a real shame. The Underground Complex Map will also be removed, and no one will be able to play on that from the aforementioned date, although we’re not huge fans of that arena so it’s not a massive loss.
The good news is that, if you don’t own any of the Stranger Things content yet, you can purchase it at 50 per cent off from now through until 17th November. All of the costumes will also be discounted, and you can get the Dead by Daylight: Stranger Things Edition at up to 50 per cent off from the PS Store. So, some big savings until the content is removed, then – but once it’s gone, it’s gone.
