Looking for a bit of cheer on a Wednesday afternoon? SEGA has just released a new gameplay trailer for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania, and it’s hard not to crack a smile at this colourful, whimsical title. Fans have been asking for a remaster of the original games, and that’s exactly what they’re getting with this PlayStation 5 and PS4 collection, bundling up all the levels from SMB 1, 2, and Deluxe.
This new trailer doesn’t tell us anything we don’t already know, but it’s worth a watch for all the new gameplay snippets throughout. To us, it’s looking like a strong revival of one of SEGA’s beloved franchises — we’re certainly looking forward to gathering bananas falling to our doom on all those precarious stages.
The game is due out on 5th October, and yes, there’s a free upgrade path if you buy the PS4 version and want to move to the PS5 one. Are you excited to reunite with AiAi and the crew? Gather momentum in the comments section below.
