The Pegasus Dream Tour, the official game of the Paralympics, is available now for iOS and Android | Articles

Following its initial announcement in May, JP Games Inc’s social RPG title, The Pegasus Dream Tour, is now available for iOS and Android. It is the first official smartphone game licensed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and looks to uphold its diversity and inclusion values whilst raising awareness for the Paralympics.

Upon starting the game, players will create a Mine, an in-game avatar that is based on the player’s image. After it has been created, they will be able to explore the titular Pegasus City. These Mines can be affected by the food and drink they consume alongside the training they complete in the gym. A good regime will allow them to compete for gold medals.

There is a big focus on social iteration in The Pegasus Dream Tour, and players can develop the city by collaborating with one another. At launch, there will be two sports to participate in, boccia and the 100-metre sprint. Additional disciplines, including the likes of wheelchair racing, five-a-side football, and wheelchair basketball, are set to arrive at a later date.

Players won’t necessarily have to compete to enjoy these events, however. They can also spectate these different sports and experience visiting sporting venues as an observer. At a later date, these in-game events will also include live events such as the Pegasus Avatar GALA Party. It promises to be an unforgettable experience, with more details set to be announced at a later date.

The Pegasus Dream Tour will also include several well-known para-athletes as NPCs. They are:

  • Takayuki Hirose (Boccia / Japan)
  • Patrick Anderson (Wheelchair basketball / Canada)
  • Holly Robinson (Javelin / New Zealand)
  • Silvio Velo (Football 5-a-side / Argentina)
  • Manami Tanaka (Wheelchair Tennis / Japan)
  • Kohei Kobayashi (Badminton / Japan)
  • Rie Ogura (Badminton / Japan)
  • Scout Bassett (Athletics / USA)
  • Chaiwat Rattana (Athletics / Thailand)

The Pegasus Dream Tour is available now over on the App Store and Google Play. It is a free-to-play game with in-app purchases.
