Surprisingly, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Edition Joy-Cons haven’t sold out yet. These royal blue babies are still up for pre-order at select retailers in the UK and US.
Some of these listings aren’t available anymore. But don’t lose hope! There are rumors of a restock following release day, so check back then. In fact, Target’s listing says to do exactly that. Tom’s Guide also noticed a switch from “Sold Out” to “Coming Soon” on the Best Buy site.
Here’s our pre-order round-up of Skyward Sword Limited Edition Joy-Cons.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Joy-Cons (UK):
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Joy-Cons (US):
The Skyward Sword Joy-Cons sport a blue-gray color scheme with ornate gold and red details. These controllers feature the symbol of the Master Sword on one side and the symbol of the Hylian Shield on the other. They also come with two woven straps in braided blue colors attached to the controls. Hopefully, these stylish straps help to keep controls close without flinging them across the room.
Skyward Sword originally used motion controls with the Wii U. Joy-Cons work similarly to the Wii U controller with the original game in this updated version for the Nintendo Switch. However, players can also use the newly added button-only controls. You can even use a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller if you want. So there’s no need to get Skyward Sword Joy-Cons, although they look very cool.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD comes out on July 16. Pre-orders, some of which come with free merch, are still open. And remember, if you couldn’t snag this sweet pair of Zelda-themed controllers, there’s always a chance of a restock. Visit our friends at Jelly Deals or follow them on Twitter for a hint on when that might be.
