Rainbow Six: Extraction editions and pre-order bonuses
Ubisoft confirmed the name change from Quarantine to Extraction and shared more information about the latest instalment in the Rainbow Six franchise, which was previously codenamed Rainbow Six: Parasite, during a dev announcement at this year’s E3 conference.
As you might imagine, the previous names were slightly problematic given the COVID outbreak but they do hint at what to expect from Rainbow Six: Extraction. It’s essentially a spin-off of the Outbreak mode from Rainbow Six: Siege, which pitted you and your squad against an outbreak of zombies, flipping the traditional way of playing Siege on its ahead.
All of the operators you know from Siege are present in Extraction, but rather than fending off other human players or zombies, you’ll be infiltrating alien bases as you tear your way through a parasite-like species known as the Archaeans.
There are two main editions of the game at the time of writing: a standard edition and a deluxe digital edition that includes three in-game packs with new weapons and outfits: the React Strike pack, Noxious Touch pack and Obscura Touch pack. There’s no news yet on a collector’s edition or any editions with a one year pass/additional DLC.
All pre-orders of the game, regardless of which edition you go for, include the orbital decay bundle which contains Orion headgear, Orion uniform, Vaporised weapon skin and the Crashlander charm.

Amazon has an exclusive ‘limited edition’ of Rainbow Six: Extraction, which includes the standard pre-order bonus as well as the digital Obscura pack. GAME has its own exclusive version of the game too known as the ‘guardian edition,’ which includes the Noxius Touch pack. That contains a copy of the game as well as the Noxius Touch uniform and headgear, the Noxius Touch and Redeemer weapons, and the Jawbreaker and Guardian Angel charms.
